You should submit it to Doug’s SunWinks. I think (stress think) that’s what his challenge is for this week.
I think his prompt this week is for stream-of-consciousness; this is a form poem (Lanterne).
Glad you understand this poetry stuff. I try, but always get it wrong. In any case, I hope your poem gets attention. It’s dark and quite wonderful.
This is dark but very beautiful. Please remind me, Anita, which form it is. The syllable count here is 1,2,3,4,1.
That’s the correct syllable count; it’s a Japanese form, a Lanterne. Named because the form is supposed to resemble a lantern.
